Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Buzz Research Inc. ("Buzz Research," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses, shares and protects information in connection with Vega, our AI personal trader that you talk to over iMessage, SMS, WhatsApp and other messaging channels, the website at vega.cool and its subdomains, our waitlist, and related services (together, the "Services"). It is part of our Terms of Service.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist information: your phone number, the country you selected, and the date and source of your sign-up.
- Contact and account information: your phone number, messaging account identifiers (for example your WhatsApp or iMessage handle), name if you share it, email address if you give it to us, and your preferences and settings.
- Your messages: the content of the messages you send to Vega and the messages Vega sends you, including trade instructions, questions, screenshots, images, voice notes and anything else you share in the conversation. Please don't send Vega information it doesn't need, such as passwords, private keys, seed phrases or full card numbers.
- Identity verification information: where a feature requires it, verification is usually done by a third-party provider that may collect your legal name, date of birth, address, government ID, a selfie or biometric information. We generally receive only the result and limited related details.
- Support and feedback: information you send us when you contact us.
Information created when you use the Services
- Wallet and trading information: your wallet address(es), balances, deposits, withdrawals, orders, fills, positions, leverage, liquidations, P&L, Automations (such as recurring buys, alerts and stop losses), Copytrading choices and transaction history. Much of this is recorded on public blockchains and is public by nature.
- Messaging metadata: message timestamps, delivery and read status, the Channel used, carrier information and opt-in and opt-out records.
- Website and device information: when you visit vega.cool, your IP address and approximate location derived from it, browser and device type, operating system, language, referring page or campaign, pages viewed and interactions.
Information from third parties
- Payment Providers (such as MoonPay): the status of your purchase or sale, amounts, assets and limited payment details. We do not receive your full card number.
- Wallet infrastructure provider (Privy): wallet addresses and identifiers linked to your account.
- Messaging Channels (such as Apple, WhatsApp/Meta and SMS carriers): the information needed to deliver messages to and from you.
- Compliance and analytics providers: sanctions screening results, fraud signals and blockchain analytics about wallet addresses.
- Public sources: blockchain data, and public information about traders or public figures you choose to copy.
2. How we use information
- Provide the Services: operate the waitlist and invite you; understand and carry out your instructions; place, manage and report on trades; run your Automations and Copytrading; send alerts, confirmations and updates; process funding and withdrawals through Payment Providers; and provide support.
- Run Vega's AI: process your messages, along with relevant context such as your positions, balances and recent conversation, so Vega can understand you and respond.
- Safety, security and compliance: verify identity and eligibility, screen against sanctions lists, detect and prevent fraud, abuse, account takeover and market manipulation, enforce our Terms, and meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.
- Improve the Services: analyze usage, debug problems, evaluate and improve Vega's accuracy and safety, and develop new features. Where we use conversations to improve Vega, we limit who can see them and, where practical, remove or mask identifying details.
- Communicate with you: send waitlist updates, account and transactional messages, and, where permitted, product news and offers. You can opt out of marketing at any time.
- Legal reasons: comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example in the EEA or UK), we rely on performing our contract with you, our legitimate interests in running and securing the Services, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where we ask for it.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that work on our behalf, such as cloud hosting, messaging delivery, AI model providers, wallet infrastructure, analytics, customer support and security providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Messaging Channels (Apple, WhatsApp/Meta, SMS carriers and messaging platforms) to deliver messages between you and Vega. Their own privacy policies apply to their handling of your messages.
- Payment Providers, Venues and blockchains as needed to carry out your instructions. Transactions you make are broadcast to public blockchains and Venues, where anyone can see them.
- Identity verification and compliance providers to verify eligibility and screen for sanctions, fraud and financial crime.
- Copytrading: if a feature lets others copy your trades or see your activity, we will tell you what is shared and give you control over it.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, regulation, legal process or government requests, and to protect the rights, property and safety of Buzz Research, our users or others.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
- With your consent or at your direction.
SMS and messaging consent is never shared. We do not share or sell your phone number or text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
4. AI processing
Vega uses AI models, which may be operated by third-party providers, to understand your messages and decide how to respond. We send those providers only what is needed to answer you, under agreements that limit their use of the data and prohibit them from using it to train their own general models where that option is available. AI output can be wrong. See our Terms for how Vega handles instructions.
5. Public blockchain data
Wallet addresses, transactions and positions on public blockchains are permanent and visible to anyone. We cannot change or delete information recorded on a blockchain or Venue, and linking your identity to a wallet address may make your on-chain activity identifiable.
6. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as you use the Services and afterwards as needed for the purposes in this Policy, including to comply with legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations (which for financial and compliance records can be several years), resolve disputes and enforce agreements. If you join the waitlist and never use Vega, you can ask us to delete your number at any time. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, and messaging Channels and phone networks have their own security limits. Protect your phone and messaging accounts, and tell us right away if you think your account has been compromised.
8. Your choices and rights
- Text messages: reply STOP to stop texts from us, and HELP for help.
- Marketing: you can opt out of marketing messages at any time without affecting account and transactional messages.
- Cookies: you can control cookies through your browser settings.
- Access, correction, deletion and portability: depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, to opt out of targeted advertising, and to appeal our decision on your request. Email us to exercise these rights. We may need to verify your identity, and may keep information where the law requires or allows (for example for compliance or fraud prevention). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents. We collect the categories of personal information described in Section 1 (identifiers, commercial and financial information, internet activity, approximate geolocation, the content of communications, inferences, and, where verification applies, sensitive personal information) from the sources and for the purposes described above, and disclose them to the categories of recipients in Section 3. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we use sensitive personal information only for purposes the law permits.
Canada. We handle personal information in line with applicable Canadian privacy law. You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing us.
EEA and UK. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may process information in the United States, Canada and other countries whose data protection laws may differ from yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
10. Children
The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, if the changes are material, make reasonable efforts to tell you, for example by text message.
